Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to pay the subscription fee when the park is closed?
No, your subscription fee is only charged for the number of months your park is open.For example, if you chose the standard package and your park is open for 8 months within a 12 month period, then you will be charged 8 x £25 = £200.00.
You can either pay the £200 subscription fee as a one-off payment once your installation is complete, or you can pay £25/month for the 8 months your park is open.
How much does it cost?
1) The standard one-off installation fee is £250, however, this will be confirmed before you order. Prices may vary across different parks, depending on individual offers and some perks have no installation fee due to the site’s infrastructure. If you have any queries, please contact us for more information.
2) The subscription cost depends on which package you choose. Price starts at £15/month and this is charged once your installation is complete. Also, you ONLY pay your subscription when your par is open.
How long is your contract for?
Your initial contract is for either 12 or 24 months, depending on the length of the contract you have signed up for. After that, you will automatically renew on a 1 month rolling contract unless you give us 30 days’ notice of your intention to cancel your In Van Wi-Fi subscription. Please see our terms and conditions for further details.
What speeds and how much data will I get?
This will depend on which subscription package you choose and you can read more about this on our website. Also, there are no data usage restrictions. Speeds are provided asymmetrically on a 75/25 basis, so if you purchased the Standard 15mbps package, you will receive 15Mbps download and 5Mbps upload.
When will you carry out the installation after I order?
We endeavour to carry out installations within 2 weeks after your order is processed but lead times can be longer at peak times of year.
What’s the order process?
Once you’ve placed your order, we’ll send you an email to confirm your order has been received. One of our support team will contact you about a week before the planned installation to gain your access details. You don’t have to be there during the installation if you’re not available as long as you leave a spare key onsite for our engineer gain access. Depending on the infrastructure of your site, the installation will take about an hour. After the installation, you will receive an email confirming when the work has been completed, including your account and Wi-Fi details, then your subscription billing will start. If you have any questions or queries after the installation, you can contact our UK support team by phone or email and you will be given our contact details again once your installation is complete.

How is IVW different to the onsite/outdoor Wi-Fi?
Onsite and outdoor Wi-Fi sends a signal from an outdoor antenna which had to fight its way in through your walls and this signal was shared with everyone else on site. However, with IVW you have your own signal and router within the caravan which provides several benefits:
- You can connect as many devices as you want.
- It’s the strongest connection possible so you will not lose the connection.
- Your connection is private and secure as no one is sharing your signal.
- You can wire your devices such as games consoles or TVs with a network cable.
