The cost comes in two parts 

1) The standard installation. This is a one-off charge taken when you order. 

2) Monthly line rental, only payable during the month’s the park is open*.

You’ll now have your own dedicated connection and personal router. You have a far stronger connection as the router you are connecting to is right inside the caravan. You can stream films, play games and connect many devices with no data restrictions.

Previously you were getting your connection from a specific outdoor antenna, which had to fight its way in through your walls and windows, and this signal was shared with everyone else on site. With Direct Caravan WiFi you have your own connection within the caravan itself and this provides several benefits:

1. You can connect as many devices as you want.
2. It’s the strongest connection possible so will not drop connection.
3. Your connection is private and secure as you have your own password and WiFi network so no one is sharing your signal.
4. You can wire your devices to the router so if you have a games console or TV you can connect these with a network cable.

Yes, as you’ll have your own network and unique password, security is not an issue.

At most of our sites, our contracts are seasonal, meaning you only pay for WiFi during the months the park is open. However, we recommend checking the signup page for the most up-to-date information, as it will confirm whether your plan follows this seasonal payment structure.

The speed you get depends on the package you pick, but our most commonly available packages are Basic (5Mbps download, 5Mbps upload), Standard (15Mbps download, 5Mbps upload) and Superfast (30Mbps download, 10Mbps upload). Please make sure to check the signup page, as it will show the packages available and the maximum speed you should expect to receive. There are no data usage restrictions.

No, our WiFi solution requires specific equipment to provide this service – you cannot use an existing WiFi booster. 

No, the equipment needs to be fitted by one of our experienced engineers to ensure it is installed correctly and then licensed to be authenticated on the network.

We will schedule installations once we have plans for engineers in the nearby area (which is generally once every month).  We endeavour to carry out installations within 4 weeks after your order is processed, but lead times can be longer at peak times of year.

Depending on the infrastructure of your site, the installation will take about an hour.

No, the Park hold a spare key that we sign for onsite for our engineer to access your home, then the engineer can carry out the installation without you having to be there.

Our engineer will arrive on the scheduled day and he will require access to your accommodation. Depending upon the infrastructure on your site, the engineer will affix an antenna to the outside of your home, then hard-wire that to your personal router inside, placed near your TV.

If your site has underground cables already in place, your router will be connected to those instead of an external antenna. After the installation, you will receive an email confirming when the work is complete, including your account and WiFi details.  Direct Caravan WiFi is licensed by the Park for the remainder of that Season.
